Ayr given go-ahead
This afternoon’s fixture at Ayr has survived an early-morning inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.
Officials at the Scottish venue were forced to assess conditions at 7am due to the possibility of heavy overnight showers.
Seven millimetres of rain was, however, less than had been forecast and the Flat meeting goes ahead.
The going is heavy, with racing due to commence at 1.50pm.
Ayr clerk of the course Emma Marley said: "We had a nice, drying day on Friday, with 7mm of rain overnight.
“Everyone was quite happy when he held an inspection and the track is raceable. The forecast is for cloudy weather, with patchy rain.”
