Ryan Moore’s representatives have played down speculation that he is set to be appointed as stable jockey to Aidan O’Brien.

A national newspaper report claims he has notified current employer Sir Michael Stoute of his intention to leave Newmarket for the Ballydoyle job.

However, Johnno Spencer, Moore’s commercial agent, has tweeted: “Subject to speculation in a national newspaper today, Ryan Moore has NOT signed as the new Ballydoyle stable jockey.”

A spokeswoman for Spence added: "He has not signed for Ballydoyle and the rumours are not true.

“He will be remaining in Newmarket, as far as we are aware, for the foreseeable future.

“Johnno spoke to Ryan this morning.”
