Dare To Dance gained some sort of compensation for missing Saturday’s Cambridgeshire by emerging victorious in the far less lucrative Daily Record Handicap at Ayr.

Jeremy Noseda’s three-year-old was the ante-post favourite for Saturday’s fiercely competitive £160,000 cavalry charge but was taken out of the race at the 11th hour due to concerns about the quickening ground at Newmarket.
