Wadham has designs on Curragh prize
Haydock Listed winner Crystal Gal will have her next race in the Dance Design Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.
Everything dropped into place for Lucy Wadhamâs Galileo filly on Merseyside, after a couple of decent efforts since joining the Newmarket handler.
She used to be trained by Kevin Prendergast and won on her debut at the Curragh, so the course holds no fears and she was only beaten three lengths in the Irish 1,000 Guineas last season.
âWe are hoping to go over to Ireland with her on Sunday, although thereâs a huge entry at the moment so weâre not sure what weâll be up against,â said Wadham.
âSheâs in very good form after her win. Things finally fell in place for her last time.
âSheâs not had much luck this season. Sheâd been staying on over a mile so we thought she wanted further but she wants a really strongly-run mile to be seen at her best.
âFinally she got that at Haydock and everything worked out, she even got stopped in her run which was probably a blessing as it meant she wasnât in front too long.
âI wouldnât mind if they got a bit of rain as she won on heavy as a two-year-old.â
