The Real Article will be allowed to take his place in Thursday's Guinness Galway Hurdle after the Irish Turf Club's Referrals Committee decided not to proceed with the inquiry into his controversial running at Tipperary.

Edward O'Grady's six-year-old was beaten just a short-head by Captain Cee Bee in the Grimes Hurdle under a hands-and-heels ride from Paddy Mangan.

The acting stewards at the track decided against taking any action after speaking to the trainer and the jockey on the day and although the Turf Club announced they would review the race, they have decided against taking any action.

The Real Article will officially be 18lb 'well-in' for the Galway Hurdle and he is the 7-2 favourite with Paddy Power.
