Boomerang Bob heading for Papin

Norfolk Stakes runner-up Boomerang Bob is set for another clash with his Royal Ascot conqueror Bapak Chinta in the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte on July 24.
The John Hills-trained juvenile finished a length behind Kevin Ryan’s unbeaten colt last month, and ran in France at the weekend when a gallant second to Family One in the Prix du Bois at Chantilly.
The winner of that French contest is also heading for Maisons-Laffitte, as is Ryan’s youngster, so Hills expects another tough race.
“I thought he ran a great race at the weekend,” said Hills.
“He just got stuck in a little pocket and when the winner made his move we just had to sit and suffer for a few strides.
“I think we’ll take him on again in the Papin in a few weeks, it’s over five and a half furlongs but that shouldn’t matter.”
