Frankel handed International entry

Frankel is one of the headline names among 43 entries for the Juddmonte International at York.

Henry Cecil’s three-year-old star is now undefeated in seven starts, including victories in the 2000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes on his last two outings.

However, he has yet to race beyond a mile and would be a fascinating contender if he lines up over 10 furlongs on the Knavesmire.

Frankel is owned by Khalid Abdullah and he also has multiple Group One winners Midday, Workforce and Twice Over among his other possible challengers.

Aidan O’Brien has made his usual strong entry headed by Hardwicke Stakes hero Await The Dawn and ex-Australian star So You Think.

He has entered a total of 15 horses including St Nicholas Abbey, Zoffany and Misty For Me.

Godolphin are another team with plenty of possibles with Prince of Wales’s Stakes winner Rewilding in the squad.
