O'Shea gearing up for weekend return

Tadhg O’Shea hopes to be back in competitive action this weekend after suffering a fall on the gallops on Wednesday morning.

The jockey, who had bookings at Royal Ascot, amongst other venues, has sustained a hand injury.

O’Shea said: “I had a tumble on the gallops this morning and hurt my hand but I went and got it checked out and nothing is broken, thankfully.

“It was just one of those things and it was no fault of anyone. At least I walked away in one piece.

“I’m planning to be back on Saturday.”
