Kurten first, Lennon third in Dutch jump-off

Jessica Kurten picked up Ireland's first win at this week's four-star show at De Steeg in the Netherlands when snatching victory by the narrowest of margins in tonight's big jump-off class.

The Antrim-born rider, on the 10 year-old stallion 'VDL Harley', was just a tenth of a second faster in the 11-horse jump-off than local hero Albert Zoer and the talented Calvados gelding 'Sam', enough to ensure collection of the €5,750 first prize.

Former World Champion, Co. Down's Dermott Lennon, took third place tonight on his wife Sandra's bay gelding 'Vampire'.
