Paddy Brennan will no longer ride as stable jockey to trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies.

The pair enjoyed have enjoyed plenty of big-race success since teaming up four years ago, most notably when Imperial Commander won the 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup.

However, Brennan has relinquished his post as the yard’s retained rider, although Twiston-Davies is eager to maintain a more informal working relationship.

“It will just be more of an open arrangement, like an open marriage Paddy will not always be having first shout,” he told the Daily Mail.

“If he gets a better offer from someone else, I will not stop him riding.”
