Ayr calls Saturday check

Officials at Ayr have called a precautionary inspection for 7am ahead of Saturday’s meeting.

Although the track is raceable at present, clerk of the course Emma Marley feels it prudent to check conditions in light of an unsettled forecast.

She said: “It’s been dry for the past 24 hours, however, the forecast is for more rain and we could experience five to 15 millimetres.

“It is just a precautionary look, we are raceable at present, it’s just due to the uncertainty of the forecast.”
