Early check for Ayr

Officials at Ayr will stage a 7am precautionary inspection ahead of their meeting tomorrow.

Although conditions are raceable at present, clerk of the course Emma Marley has decided to take a look due to the widespread frost that has hit Britain over the last few days.

“It’s just a a precautionary inspection and we are perfectly raceable today,” said Marley.

“We’re basically taking a look because the weather forecast has been inaccurate this week.

“It dipped to just below freezing overnight and at this stage, I’m confident we’ll be fine to race on Monday.”
