Cheltenham goes ahead
This afternoon's high-profile meeting at Cheltenham has been given the go-ahead.
The final fixture before the Cheltenham Festival has happily survived two morning inspections and a harsh frost.
Although overnight temperatures dipped to as low as -7C, the protective covers at the Prestbury Park circuit have had the desired effect.
Any lingering frost has now dissipated from the ground.
Cheltenham communications manager Andy Clifton said: "Temperatures are rising all the time and the meeting will be going ahead as planned."
