This afternoon's meeting at Cheltenham must pass a second inspection at 10.45am.

Clerk of the course Simon Claisse will assess conditions for a second time after an 8.45am inspection proved inconclusive.

Although overnight temperatures dipped to minus 7C in places, Claisse remains in bullish mood.

He told The Morning Line: "Temperatures are still minus two, but we're heading in the right direction.

"I'm probably 80-20 (in favour of racing going ahead)."
