Tote sponsor Uttoxeter showpiece

The Tote are to sponsor the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter on March 19.

The four-and-a-quarter-mile marathon, in which the runners complete three circuits of the track, was won last year by subsequent Welsh National hero Synchronised.

The Tote will sponsor the entire seven-race card, and director of racecourse business Jason Brautigam said: “The totesport.com Midlands Grand National will provide the perfect climax to our ’Road to Aintree’ series of races that form the countdown to the big race in April.

“We are delighted to cement our partnership with Uttoxeter and Northern Racing by sponsoring one of the premier races in the group’s portfolio.”
