Green light for Rasen

This afternoon’s National Hunt meeting at Market Rasen will go ahead as planned.

An inspection had been called for 7.30am at the Lincolnshire venue but shortly before then officials were confident enough to give the green light.

Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma said “We’re OK to race. All the frost has gone out of the ground and it was a minimum of 2C overnight with a bit of drizzle.

“The going on the chase course is good to soft, good in places and on the hurdle track it is good, good to soft in places.”
