Hereford passes inspection

This afternoon’s meeting at Hereford goes ahead following an early-morning inspection.

Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen brought forward his proposed 8.30am check after just 4.5mm of overnight rain.

A more considerable deluge had been a possibility, with the going currently heavy.

Ottesen said: “It’s stopped raining, which is the main thing, and the forecast is now for only light drizzle.

“There are no anticipated problems and racing goes ahead.”
