No problems at Southwell

Today’s meeting at Southwell has survived a precautionary 6am inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.

Frost and snow were minor sticking points ahead of the jumps fixture, but neither materialised on a relatively balmy night in Nottinghamshire.

Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said: “There’s no issues, and racing goes ahead. It was 5C overnight and there’s no snow and frost, which is good news.”
