Smad a possible for Finale
Alan King’s exciting youngster Smad Place could run in the rearranged Coral Future Champions Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow on Saturday.
The French import absolutely hacked up on his British debut, beating 1-4 favourite Dolatulo by 27 lengths.
He had been due to run at Newbury last month but was a late withdrawal after an unsatisfactory scope.
“I was just not happy with his scope on the morning so we took him out, it was nothing major, but you can’t take any chances,” the Barbury Castle handler told his website, www.alankingracing.co.uk.
“We’ll have him scoped again this week, and, depending on how he shapes up over the next few days, he could go to Chepstow, though it is not certain.”
Smad Place is a general 10-1 second favourite for the Triumph Hurdle.
