Pandorama primed for Hennessy

Lexus Chase hero Pandorama remains set for a return to Leopardstown for the Hennessy Gold Cup on February 6.

There was plenty of money for Noel Meade’s runner at the Dublin course on Tuesday despite a weak effort on his seasonal reappearance at Newbury, and he justified the financial support with a terrific effort as 7-2 joint-favourite.

“Pandorama came out of the race great and is 100%,” reported Meade. “The plan will now be to head for the Irish Hennessy.”

A good Christmas Festival for Meade was completed by Realt Dubh, who lowered the colours of Mikael D’Haguenet in the Bord na Mona With Nature Novice Chase.

“He’s absolutely fine too,” Meade added. “He’s going to go back to Leopardstown at the end of January for the Irish Arkle. It depends how he gets on there, but obviously we’ll be hoping he makes Cheltenham too.”
