Game over at frozen Rasen

Market Rasen’s fixture on St Stephen's Day has been abandoned due to frost and snow.

Course officials moved forward their proposed 12pm inspection on Wednesday as the situation in Lincolnshire is untenable.

Acting clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright said: “We’ve had to abandon.

“The course is covered in snow and is frozen, so the situation is hopeless. ”
