Snow claims Sedgefield card

Sedgefield have abandoned Tuesday’s meeting due to frost and snow.

Clerk of the course Charlie Moore had called an 8am inspection but after temperatures dropped to minus 8C overnight, he took an earlier look.

That check showed the track to be unraceable and Moore opted to abandon the fixture with little chance of adequate improvement.
