Master class tells at Cheltenham

Master Minded looked right back to his imperious best with a sumptuous performance in the Keith Prowse Hospitality Tingle Creek Chase at Cheltenham.

The race was run at an unbelievable gallop, with I’m So Lucky and Petit Robin going hell for leather up front.

Petit Robin was left in front coming down the hill and seemed to be still travelling well enough, but Noel Fehily – whose participation had been in doubt until yesterday afternoon – bided his time in the saddle on the favourite.

The dual Champion Chaser engaged top gear rounding the final bend and fairly sprinted clear to win as he liked as the 10-11 market leader.

Somersby was outpaced from halfway and ran on strongly up the hill, just failing to catch Petit Robin for second, but Master Minded was in a different class and won by eight lengths.
