Tingle Creek card under threat

Saturday’s big Tingle Creek meeting at Sandown is subject to an inspection at 3pm this afternoon.

The first day of the fixture on Friday has already been abandoned due to snow.

The Paul Nicholls-trained duo of Master Minded and Twist Magic were due to lock horns in the feature event.

“We’re going to have a look at 3pm and take it from there,” said clerk of the course Andrew Cooper.

“It just seems to be a sensible course of action to take but I wouldn’t necessarily take that as a negative that we are looking so early.

“But we will have a look then and see what the best thing to do is.

“We’ve had the worst of the snow and we are not really expecting anymore but the next thing is we are expecting a very cold night, around minus 5C or minus 6C.”
