Snow forces Market Rasen inspection

Market Rasen have called an inspection for 7.30am tomorrow ahead of Thursday’s meeting.

Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma reports a bleak situation though, with the track currently covered by snow.

She said: “We are going to have a look in the morning. There’s about an inch to an inch and a half of snow on the track and we are frozen in places.

“It’s not really going to have any opportunity to thaw and I think we are fighting a losing battle, but we will have another look in the morning and see where we are then.”
