Folkestone's meeting on Monday is subject to a second inspection on raceday morning.

Conditions have improved significantly in Kent, with clerk of the course Andy Waitt in bullish mood following a Sunday afternoon assessment.

Waitt will still check again at 7.30am on Monday, but is hopeful the fixture can defeat the elements.

He said: "There is around one centimetre of snow on the ground but the track isn't frozen.

"Overnight temperatures are not due to get below freezing - between OC and 1C.

"That's good news and, as it stands, I'd say I'm 60-40 in favour of the meeting going ahead."
