Walsh suffers broken leg in Down Royal fall

Ruby Walsh faces months on the sidelines after suffering a fracture of his tibia and fibula in his right leg in a fall at Down Royal today.

Walsh was in high spirits going into the ride on Corrick Bridge in the Rainbow Telecom Handicap Chase, having earlier won on Paul Nicholls’ Kauto Star who returned to action in the JNwine.com Champion Chase.
