Hexham gets green light

This afternoon’s meeting at Hexham goes ahead after the track passed a 7am inspection.

Clerk of the course James Armstrong had been concerned about conditions following heavy rain, but he reports the track to be raceable this morning.

He said: “We’re fine and racing goes ahead. It stopped raining some time after 10pm last night and we had 31 millimetres in total.

“The ground is officially heavy so it’s going to be testing.”
