Artemisia on redemption mission

Marco Botti is hoping Lady Artemisia can bounce back to her best in the EBF Cockney Rebel First Crop Success River Eden Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield on Thursday.

The Newmarket filly feels the four-year-old has run below par on her last two starts, but has hopes she will finish in the frame especially as he has no stamina doubts for her over one mile, five furlongs.

“She definitely stays that trip. Looking at her form it has gone a little bit flat in her last couple of races, so I hope she will bounce back to her best form,” said the Newmarket trainer.

“It does not look one of the strongest Listed races, but obviously at this time of the year the fillies sometimes change their coat.

“I’m hopeful she will finish in the first three.”
