Dermot Weld’s Emulous continued her excellent run of form with victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Garnet Stakes at Naas.

The daughter of Dansili has yet to finish outside the first three in six career starts and was sent off the 13-8 favourite to secure her third visit to the winner’s enclosure.

Always travelling strongly in the hands of Pat Smullen, the three-year-old quickened up smartly once asked the question to score by two lengths.

It capped a fantastic weekend for owner Prince Khalid Abdullah, whose colours were carried to Group One glory by both Frankel and Twice Over at Newmarket on Saturday.

“It was a very professional performance. She has been a model of consistency,” said Weld.

“I am going to try to encourage Prince Khalid to keep her in training as a four-year-old as the best is yet to come.

“She has been getting physically stronger over the year and the patience we gave her earlier in the year is paying dividends now.”
