Cox: Ground gave girl the edge

Clive Cox feels the testing conditions were a major factor in Gilt Edge Girl springing a surprise in the Prix de l’Abbaye at Longchamp on Sunday.

The four-year-old filly relished the very soft ground and her rail draw to give trainer Clive Cox and 21-year-old jockey Luke Morris their first Group One triumph.
