Meehan respects Dream opposition
Brian Meehan is impressed by the opposition set to face Waiter’s Dream in the Neptune Investment Management Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on Saturday.
Meehan has already booked Kieren Fallon to ride his juvenile after the jockey helped him to a clear-cut success in the Acomb Stakes at York last time.
But with the likes of Godolphin’s Saamidd, the Michael Jarvis-trained Toolain and Gimcrack winner Approve in the mix for the weekend, it should not be as easy for Waiter’s Dream this time.
“It’s shaping up to be one of the toughest Champagnes for a little while - there are Group winners and impressive maiden winners in there – but we’ll go with him,” said Meehan.
