Fred comes good at Ripon
Fred Willetts opened his account at the seventh attempt with an impressive performance in the Racing Again Tomorrow Selling Stakes at Ripon.
David Evans' juvenile was given an enterprising ride by Silvestre De Sousa as the pair pinged the start and hugged the far rail, with the majority of the field staying close to the stands' side.
The Brazilian jockey's decision was vindicated however, as the 15-2 chance, wearing blinkers for the first time, romped to an eight-length victory over Whats For Pudding.
