Goodwood inspection tomorrow morning
Saturday’s meeting at Goodwood, featuring the totesport.com Celebration Mile, must pass an 8.30am precautionary inspection tomorrow morning.
With Thursday evening’s fixture having already been abandoned due to waterlogging, officials at the Sussex venue are taking no chances.
Clerk of the course Séamus Buckley is, however, buoyed by a favourable forecast on Friday.
He said: “There is talk of more rain coming through today, and then we are expected to be dry tomorrow and into the night on Saturday.
“If that’s the case, we’d be pretty hopeful – but we may have to call a further inspection for later that day.”
Goodwood are also due to race on Sunday.
