Temple Meads heads for Gimcrack

Temple Meads will bid to extend his unbeaten record to three when he contests the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Gimcrack Stakes at York on Wednesday.

Jeremy Noseda’s Formosina looked a potential star when winning the Railway Stakes at Leopardstown, but needs to bounce back after finishing last of six in the Superlative Stakes. Johnny Murtagh takes over from the injured Ryan Moore.

Norfolk Stakes winner Approve has been declared by William Haggas, while Richard Fahey’s Sir Reginald and Premier Clarets both step up in class.

Crown Prosecutor, Dubawi Gold and Shropshire are also among the 12-strong field.
