Given waits on weather with Indian Days

James Given will monitor ground conditions at York before deciding whether to run Indian Days in the Sky Bet Strensall Stakes on Friday.

The five-year-old entire put himself in line for a crack at the Group Three contest when ending a two-year barren streak with victory in a competitive handicap at Glorious Goodwood.

“He would want quick ground to run on Friday. If you look at his form, all his best form is on good to firm,” said Lincolnshire-based Given.

“Funnily enough, it was a little bit loose at Goodwood when he won, which proved the undoing of Dandino.

“We wouldn’t dismiss it, but we are just keeping our options open.”
