Polly’s Mark could take her chance in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks later this month.

The Clive Cox-trained four-year-old has been a credit to connections this season, finishing just over eight lengths behind Harbinger earlier in the campaign before taking second at Goodwood last week.

“She has come out of it really well. I think it was a very hot race and the time speaks for itself in that it was a course record,” said Cox.

“Although it was a Group Three, she was only just beaten on her previous run in a Group Two which shows good progression throughout.

“I think she is still getting stronger so I believe there is more to come from her.

“She is still in the Yorkshire Oaks and also in at Deauville over a mile and five. She has the class to run from a mile and half to a mile and six.

“She proved she got the trip well at Goodwood and is another filly we are very pleased to have on the team.”
