Truth hurts for Weld rivals

Dermot Weld secured his third winner of the week as talented bumper performer Universal Truth got off the mark over obstacles in the Topaz Maiden Hurdle at Galway.

The five-year-old was placed in Grade One company in the National Hunt Flat sphere and was sent off the 13-8 favourite having finished third on his hurdling introduction.
