Anadolu has pulled off a 14-1 surprise in the Danehill Dancer Tipperary Stakes.

The outsider of the six runners wore down Moonlit Garden in the final furlong to take the Listed contest in the hands of Pat Shanahan.

Moonlit Garden, the 4-5 favourite, looked to be travelling well on the far rail but she was collared by Tracey Collins’ runner, who scored by half a length.

“We always thought a lot of this filly. We were disappointed the last day but she didn’t stay the six,” said Collins.

“This was the plan and we’ll have to see where she goes now. She has an awful lot of speed. The last time she met Dermot’s filly she was right behind her at the five but just didn’t get home.

“Pat gave her a peach of a ride. She can be difficult in the stalls but he got her out and well balanced.”
