Charlton assesses Breath options
Roger Charlton is keen not to look too far ahead with Bated Breath following his hugely impressive display at Haydock yesterday.
The Dansili colt took his record to three wins from three starts at the Merseyside track and his trainer hopes there is plenty to look forward to for the rest of the campaign and beyond.
āHeās in good shape this morning and we were delighted with him. Heās developing into a nice horse,ā said Charlton.
āWe havenāt really thought about where weāll go next and weāll just have to see what the handicapper does and see what races are coming up.
āWe wonāt be rushing him and he doesnāt need to run much more this year. A couple more times maybe at the most.
āWeāll take our time with him and just see how he is as itās still early days with him.
āHeāll probably be rated between 100 and 105 now and to be a Group horse he needs to improve another 10lb.
āTo be a really good horse he needs to improve another 20lb, so who knows?
āThat is quite a lot but heās progressing and going the right way.ā
