Serious Attitude set for Nottingham return
Serious Attitude is set to make her seasonal debut in the Weatherbys Bank Kilvington Fillies’ Stakes at Nottingham on Saturday.
The 2008 Cheveley Park Stakes winner also holds an entry in the Duke Of York Stakes at York next week but Guest is favouring the six-furlong Listed contest at Colwick Park.
“It’s a nice place to start her off. It’s a Listed fillies’ race and she’s not got any Group One or Group Three win penalties to carry, so she’s very well in,” said trainer Rae Guest.
“The ground looks as though it’s going to be nice and she’s in great form.”
Also on Saturday, Guest is more likely to run Jeninsky at Lingfield in the totesport 0800 221 221 Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes than the totescoop6 Spring Trophy at Haydock.
“Hopefully she’ll go to Lingfield but I’ll wait on the ground,” the Newmarket handler went on.
“Good ground would be perfect for her, good to soft would be all right but good to firm would be quicker than she would like.”
Guest will leave a decision until just before declaration time on Thursday morning on whether to be represented in the totesportcasino.com Oaks Trial Stakes at Lingfield.
He has Indian Valley and Retrato in the Listed contest on Saturday.
“Retrato ran on Monday. We thought she was a nice filly but she ran fresh and pulled very hard so she didn’t run very well in the end,” Guest added.
“We put her in when the race re-opened as there’s prize money down to sixth place and it looked like there would be few runners at one point.
“Both are nice fillies but I don’t know if either will run now. We’re going to wait and see how they are tomorrow morning and then make a decision.”
