Captain Chris put up a performance with 'class' written all over it when taking a couple of useful scalps in the Gloucestershire Trainers Championship Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham today.

The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding overcame greenness coming down the hill, when he hung quite markedly right and forfeited many lengths, to fairly storm up the hill and score by three and three-quarter lengths from Salden Licht, with six lengths further back to Pepe Simo.
