Queally unfazed by Twice Over draw

Tom Queally gave Twice Over a first sighter of the new racecourse at Meydan on Thursday morning, and is unperturbed by their 11-wide draw in the Dubai World Cup on Saturday.

Henry Cecil’s Champion Stakes winner and Breeders’ Cup third cantered a circuit of the track on the Tapeta.

His rider has also been encouraged by his mount’s galloping companion, Tranquil Tiger, landing the Winter Derby at Lingfield last weekend.

Queally said: “I have ridden the horse twice out here and he has settled in well.

“He has not got a great draw but he is a well-balanced horse and I do not see it being a problem.

“He has improved no end since last summer and is in top nick.

“I wouldn’t say I am bullish, but I am very hopeful – Tranquil Tiger winning at Lingfield was a nice boost.”
