Lucky 13 check in for Ryanair

Poquelin and Tranquil Sea feature among a fascinating field of 13 runners in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham on Thursday.

The latter ran out a facile winner when the pair clashed in the Paddy Power Gold Cup in November, but Poquelin subsequently won the Boylesports.com Gold Cup in impressive style.

Last year’s runner-up Voy Por Ustedes is fitted with blinkers for the first time after a largely disappointing season, while Schindlers Hunt, third in the race 12 months ago, is also back for more.

Nicky Henderson has a strong hand with the Queen-owned Barbers Shop, Jack The Giant and Petit Robin to call upon.

Willie Mullins also has three chances with Barker, Scotsirish and J’y Vole.

Albertas Run, Deep Purple and Planet Of Sound complete the field.
