Mike de Kock’s 2008 Hong Kong Cup winner Eagle Mountain has been retired after picking up another serious injury.

Trained at Ballydoyle by Aidan O’Brien in his formative years, he joined South African De Kock after finishing a short-head second to Literato in the Champion Stakes at Newmarket in 2007.
