Haydock passed for racing
This afternoon's meeting at Haydock goes ahead after the track passed a second morning inspection at 10.30am.
Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright called an initial inspection for 9am due to the forecast of sub-zero temperatures but decided to look again to give the meeting every chance.
Having checked conditions for a second time, Tellwright is pleased to report temperatures have risen and he is happy to give the meeting the green light.
He said: "It's good news and racing goes ahead as temperatures have risen just enough."
