This afternoon’s meeting at Fakenham goes ahead after the track passed a third inspection at 11.30am.

An initial inspection was called for 7am but after overnight snow, officials made the decision to look again at 10am.

With conditions improving, clerk of the course David Hunter called a third inspection for 11.30am and is delighted to be finally able to give racing the go-ahead.

He said: “It’s great news as the snow has cleared and we’re ready to race.”
