Folkestone abandoned due to snow

This afternoon’s meeting at Folkestone has been abandoned due to snow.

Clerk of the course Andrew Waitt inspected the track at 6am but the snow which fell over the weekend had still not cleared.

He said: “There’s still too much snow on the course. We did have some rain through night but not enough to shift the snow.

“The forecast is now for drizzle and the amount of snow we have will not be moved by that.”
