Folkestone look again

Tomorrow's meeting at Folkestone is subject to a further inspection at 6am on raceday morning.

Clerk of the course Andrew Waitt called an initial inspection for 2pm this afternoon but with the forecast of positive temperatures and the possibility of rain overnight, Waitt has decided to delay his decision.

He said: “We’ll have another look at 6am but the snow has thawed a fair bit.

“We still have a covering in some areas but we are forecast temperatures of plus 3C or 4C overnight and we may also get some rain.

“It’s obviously too close to call at the moment and the hope is the temperatures and the rain might clear away the snow that we have.”
