Huntingdon ready to roll
This afternoon’s National Hunt card at Huntingdon has been given the all-clear following three morning inspections.
Although overnight temperatures did not drop below freezing, a light dusting of snow on the track had been a cause of concern.
While unraceable upon inspection at 8am and at 10am, the situation had improved considerably by 11am.
Clerk of the course Andrew Morris said: “We were due to inspect at 11.30am but we have had rapid improvement since 10am and we’re delighted that racing goes ahead.
“The ground is now soft but thankfully we’re raceable and we’re looking forward to a good day.”
